Chandigarh: The monsoon session of the state assembly began on a stormy note as opposition members demanded an immediate debate on unemployment data and vacant teaching posts.
The speaker admitted the issue for discussion on Thursday. The government reiterated that recruitment calendars for police and education departments will be released soon.
Outside the house, youth organisations held a peaceful march demanding publication of a jobs calendar, which passed off without incident.
