Chandigarh: Haryana recorded the fastest growth in per capita income among northern states, according to the provisional economic survey released this week.
Economists attribute the jump to strong auto-component exports, expanding IT back-offices and renewed housing demand along the Dwarka Expressway belt.
However, they cautioned that income inequality between Gurugram-Faridabad and agrarian districts remains wide, calling for balanced regional investment.
